From older design template to Design Builder
Our older design templates are being phased out in favor of the Design Builder – a more modern, flexible, and future-oriented solution. To ensure stable operation and access to new functionality, your online store must upgrade by the deadline you received via email.
The online store search is moving to the Design Builder
During October 2026, we are launching a completely new search in the Design Builder.
The new search replaces the Crall search, which is currently included in all price plans, and it works only in the Design Builder
This means that the smart search function in the online store will become unavailable on older design templates during October 2026. For your customers to still be able to search effectively in the store, you must therefore be on the Design Builder by October 2026.
The new search is faster, better optimized, and provides more accurate search results than the current solution.
Why upgrade?
Old technology limits speed and development. The Design Builder is the platform we are investing in for the future, and it gives you:
- New features: Launched only in the Design Builder.
- Easier editing: Full flexibility without the need for coding.
- Preview: Make changes and test the setup before publishing.
Important to know about the switch
- It doesn't happen automatically: You must activate the Design Builder yourself in the control panel. Need help? Order migration service, and we'll do the job for you.
- Your content is safe: Products, categories, and settings remain. Only the visual elements (colors, fonts, layout, banner images) need to be set up again.
- The Design Builder is free: There is no cost to use the Design Builder, and you can use all available functionality without any extra cost.
- Work safely in a preview: You can work safely in a preview until you are ready to launch the design in your online store.
- Customizations: Customizations made on older templates with CSS and JavaScript are not automatically transferred, but most needs are now covered by built-in settings. Contact us if you are unsure.

Workload and content
Will switching over be a lot of work?
No, most people get up and running quickly. All content—such as products, categories, and settings—is already in place. You only need to reconfigure the visual elements—such as colors, fonts, and banners.Will I lose my content?
No. Products, categories, shipping, and technical settings will carry over. Think of it as renovating the exterior of a house; everything inside remains the same.Will my images disappear?
