The Category Page
This guide helps you set up and optimize the category page in your online store. By structuring the content correctly, you improve the user experience and increase the chance of sales.
Create multiple versions
If you want to experiment with different versions, you can duplicate the product page. Then you can edit as many product pages as you want, and then test which ones have the best conversion.
- Click the dropdown menu for "Page"
- Select
Category page - Click the category page you want to duplicate and click "Duplicate"
- Give the new page a descriptive name
View
The category template currently supports two views: standard with product boxes and list view. List view lists all products without price, name, etc., but has the option for search and filter.
To use list view, you must:
- Have the "Category Templates" extension active
- Select template for category
When using list view, only the color of the "highlight" can be changed. The layout otherwise is fixed.
