# Content Builder: Move a page here

## Content Builder: Move a page here

Once the content builder is turned on, you can move existing pages over to it. You can move both pages from the classic editor and pages from the Page Builder. The move happens one page at a time, and nothing changes on the page until you save.

## Information icon

Next to the move card is a small **i** icon. It opens an explanation of the three things you should know before moving: what happens to a classic page, what happens to a Page Builder page, and that the content builder will soon replace both.

## Move a classic page

A classic page is a page you have written with the standard text editor.

**1.** Open the page in the Publishing Tool. The card **This page uses the classic editor** is displayed at the top of the content.

**2.** Click **Move to content builder**

**3.** Review the page in the content builder.

**4.** Save the page. Only then will it change in the store.

Your text is moved into a single block called **Classic content**. It retains the layout, classes, links, and videos as they were. You can edit the HTML in the block, or rebuild it with regular blocks and delete it.

> **💡 Classic content cannot be added manually**
> The block **Classic content** only exists when a page has been migrated from the classic editor. You will not find it in the **Add block** menu. You build new pages and new parts of a page using the regular blocks.

Blog posts that have a "read more" divider in the text are split at that line. You get one classic block before and one after, with the **Read more** block between them.

## Migrate a page from the Page Builder

The Page Builder converts the content into regular blocks in the content builder.

**1.** Open the page in the Publishing Tool. The **Edit with Page Builder** card is displayed.

**2.** Click **Migrate to content builder**

**3.** Read through the warning if any parts were not included.

**4.** Review the page and correct anything that looks different.

**5.** Save the page.

You can still click **Go to Page Builder** instead, as long as you have not moved the page.

### Parts that will not be included

Some parts of the Page Builder do not have a corresponding block yet. In that case, you will get a yellow warning, **Some parts could not be moved**, with a list of what is missing. Those parts are not on the new page.

The parts that may be missing are blog posts, image grid, hero banner, icon in an icon box, image banner, newsletter, product list, and autoplay of slider.

> **⚠️ Leave the page without saving if you want to keep everything**
> If something important is missing, you can leave the page without saving. It will then remain in the Page Builder as before.

### You cannot move back on your own

> **⛔ A page that has been moved from the Page Builder cannot go back**
> Once you have saved a page from the Page Builder in the content builder, there is no button to take it back. Only Mystore employees can restore the old version, and this is only done in emergencies.

Therefore, review the page in the preview, both on desktop and mobile, before saving.

## Pages with a limited selection of blocks

The contact page can only have the block **Text**. The text is moved into a text block when you open the page, and other blocks are removed when you save. The text is displayed next to the contact form in the store.
